Webinar 1 - Video Editing Zero to Hero using Adobe Premiere

“Video Editing Zero to Hero using Adobe Premiere”

I. Details of the event/activity

“Video Editing Zero to Hero using Adobe Premiere” is the title of the event I attended. They focus here on teaching the basic features and how to use them more deeply and also to use the full potential of Adobe Premiere to have a good output. It was held on September 08, 2023 in a zoom meeting and this is a three-hour webinar and the DICT ORIENTAL MINDORO organized this event. The event speaker here is Mr. Rollan M. Banez he is a Co-founder/Training Director of (Creative Nation Academy) and also CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer + Adobe Certified Professional / Expert / Instructor Express Ambassador / Community Expert.

II. Reflections the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

At first, Adobe Premiere seemed complex, but with time, I learned its basics. The workspace became more familiar, and I realized the importance of organization. Adobe Premiere's customization options boosted my productivity, highlighting the value of perseverance in learning this great software.

He demonstrates the fundamental functions of Adobe Premiere, such as the shortcut keys, animating, keyframing, chroma key, and exporting with/without Adobe Media Encoder.

III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level. (Practical application of learnings)

Shortcut Keys: A Time-Saver's Dream

I was amazed by how simple it was to switch between clips quickly and carry out routine tasks without using the mouse. My editing process improved as I became more adept at using these shortcuts, making it more enjoyable and flexible.

Mastering Keyframes: Adding a Touch of Magic

I was able to precisely animate text and graphics, create smooth transitions, and adjust effects thanks to these temporal markers. I experimented with keyframes to produce dynamic movements, like gradually fading in a background music track or zooming in on a subject's face. It was amazing to see how keyframes could turn inert elements into appealing visual stories.

This experience has taught me that video editing is an art form that takes patience, practice, and creativity in addition to technical proficiency. I'm eager to see how these tools will help me tell more engaging visual stories as I keep improving my Adobe Premiere skills and explore its advanced capabilities.

IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)

Perfect Execution: Everything went off without any difficulties. Every detail was smoothly handled and I learned a lot, from registration to the closing remarks, resulting in an efficient and enjoyable experience.

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/ consider for future activities

Increase more the number of hands-on components or workshops in their activities to encourage participation and active learning like they did to us.
