Reflection Report As Participant 06 - Acquaintance Day 2023

Event Title: “Gordon College CCS Acquaintance Day 2023”

 

I. Details of the event/activity

    "Gordon College CCS Acquaintance Day 2023" took place on September 29, 2023, with the theme: "KiLiTi ng CCS: Spark. Create. Stand." at Marikit Park, Olongapo City.

    We organized a Laser Engraving Booth during the acquaintance day.

    As for the event, I participated in the Gento Dance Challenge.

 

II. Reflections the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

    As per our dean, we were tasked to organize a booth during the acquaintance day. Our booth featured laser engraving, and within our group, each of us had our respective roles and responsibilities.

    My role here is to sell and promote our service and product. I also handle the payments from the customers.

    I was on duty for three hours because I had to attend a practice for the Gento Dance Challenge that would take place in the evening during the acquaintance day. It's delightful because before I leave from my duty, we were close to surpassing our initial investment as I successfully sold a lot of our services and products.

    We performed well in the Gento Dance Challenge, and I gave my full energy to ensure a great performance for our dance entry.

 

III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level. (Practical application of learnings)

    This role was a significant help to me because it allowed me to practice selling our service and product to people, and how to persuade them to avail of our service and product.

    I was pleased with the results of my marketing efforts at our booth, and even though I had a short duty period, I achieved a significant total sale during my duty hours.

 

IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)

    Everything went smoothly throughout the event, even up to the closing remarks, and even the faculty actively participated in the booths present at the event.

 

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/ consider for future activities

    Ensure a diverse range of booths to cater to different interests and preferences. Include a mix of informative, interactive, and entertaining booths to engage a broader audience.

Details of the event/activity                 CCS Research Forum 2023 with the theme "Frontiers of Knowledge: Unveiling Tomorrow’s Insights” was held at Gordon College, PE Room on December 5-7, 2023, and was led by the Research Coordinator, CCS Ma’am Denise Lou B. Punzalan. We also participated in their Research Presentation as a delegate. II.
