Reflection Report As Participant 07 - Philippine Startup Challenge 8: Regional Pitching Competition

Event Title: “Philippine Startup Challenge 8: Regional Pitching Competition”

I. Details of the event/activity

"The Philippine Startup Challenge 8: Regional Pitching Competition" was held at Bataan Peninsula State University on October 4, 2023, and was led by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

II. Reflections the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

This was a regional pitching competition joined by our group, Team Likha. Our teammate and hustler, Johniel Zar Mendoza, pitched our application. We were the last presenter in this competition, and our group presented our application properly.

It's delightful because there were many talented individuals who pitched their applications, IoT, and etc. You could see that they were well-prepared and confident in presenting their product and services.

We were even more delighted because the school we represented emerged as the champion in this competition, and it was our classmate from BSCS 4A who led the way.

III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level. (Practical application of learnings)

Here you can see people battling their nervous, and I felt this especially within my group. Only strength and self-confidence are needed to effectively pitch our application. "And this is what I saw and felt with my classmate (Team Pyrologic) because of his self-confidence, which is why they became the champions and best presenter of this competition."

IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)

They didn't let their participants go hungry because they provided for all our needs as participants very well, and we were comfortable until this competition ended.

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/ consider for future activities

I have nothing more to say about this because they provided all our needs, including the available rooms for us to practice our pitch and rest.
